Recital

There’s a lot to keep up with when it comes to recital. We’ve tried to keep everything in one place to help answer any questions you may have.

Recital is May 31, 2025. Recital and dress rehearsals will take place at Hillside High School. We will have 4 shows, the first at 9am and the second at 12pm, the third at 3pm and the final show at 6pm. Expect the shows to last an hour to an hour and a half.

Important Info

How Much Does Recital Cost?

Jan 15 – $70 Recital Fee

There is one $70 fee per family which includes a professional video of the show and two tickets for every show your dancer or dancers are participating in. The recital fee helps to cover the cost of the venue and to pay staff working the recital. The recital fee will be charged on January 15, 2025.

Feb 15 – Costume and Tight Charges

Recital costumes and tights will be charged on February 15, 2025. Costume fees are charged per dancer, per class. Costume prices vary based on age. Costumes for Babies, Tiny Tykes, Mighty Minis, and Kinder Kids are $79 each. Costumes for Elementary aged dancers and older are $87.

Each dancer will get two pairs of every style of tights required for your dancer. Tights are $12 per pair. If you have questions about what style of tights are required for your dancer, please ask us.

Mar 15 – Recital Fee, Costume and Tights Charges for Dancers that Register After November

Can I Purchase Extra Recital Tickets?

Yes! Every family participating in recital will receive 2 tickets per show your dancer or dancers are participating in.

If you need extra tickets you can purchase them online. Additional tickets will be $12 each. We will send an email with the link to purchase tickets April 19th.

Picture Days Schedule

Picture days are April 28 – May 9.

Alaina Barth Photography will be at the studio to take dancer’s individual and class pictures during one of your dancer’s regularly scheduled dance classes. Dancers will come dressed in full costume, tights, shoes, hair and makeup.

Dates and times for picture days can be found in the Recital Packet links above. Make sure you know when your dancer has pictures and when and where your dancer has regular class.

Recital Week Schedule

Recital is May 31, 2025

The Monday of recital is Memorial Day, there will be no class or practices on Memorial Day. The rest of recital week will look very different from your dancer’s usual schedule. Dancers will not have their regular classes the week of Recital.

Dancers in Elementary level 3 classes, 10+ classes, Intermediate classes and Advanced classes will have Staging as well as a Dress Rehearsal.

Staging and Dress Rehearsal will take place at Hillside High School. Make sure you know both your dancer’s Staging and Dress Rehearsal schedules.

Dress Rehearsal - May 27, 28, 29, 30

Show 1 (9am Show) Dress Rehearsal – Thursday, May 29 at Hillside High School 5:30-7:00pm

Show 2 (12pm Show) Dress Rehearsal – Friday, May 30 at Hillside High School 5:30-7:00pm

Show 3 (3pm Show) Dress Rehearsal – Wednesday, May 28 at Hillside High School 5:30-7:00pm

Show 4 (6pm Show) Dress Rehearsal – Tuesday, May 27 at Hillside High School 5:30-7:0pm

Check in time for all Dress Rehearsals is 4:45-5:15pm.

Staging - May 27, 28, 29, 30

Dancers in Elementary level 3 classes, 10+ classes, Intermediate classes and Advanced classes will have Staging.

Please note your dancer’s Staging day and time may be different from their Dress Rehearsal day and time.

Hair and Makeup?

Babies, Tiny Tykes, and Mighty Mini Classes – bun at crown of head, in line with top of ears.

All Other Classes – Low bun with middle part.

Makeup is required for all dancers. Black mascara, blush, red lipstick, neutral color eye shadows. Dancers 10+ should also wear black eyeliner.
