Danyel Beaver grew up dancing in Durham, NC under Nina Wheeler at Nina’s School of Dance. Prior to college she had the opportunity to train under Micah Geyer, Shannon Bramham, Richard Smith, Hope Boykin, Joe-Joe Grooves and Pam Pietro to name a few. She received her BFA in dance performance from East Carolina University in 2018 and, while attending, was a professional dancer for The Lost Colony. As a freshman, Danyel was cast in the Koresh Dance residency piece and the group opened for the company at a March performance. Her sophomore year, she was selected to perform in an adjudicated work presented at the American College Dance Association festival in West Virginia. Danyel served as assistant choreographer for three main stage concert pieces and two musicals, Reefer Madness and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Three of Danyel‘s works were selected to be performed during her time in undergrad, one piece being the first student work ever performed in the main stage concert. Danyel received her masters from Baylor University and is back in NC teaching master classes and guest choreographing for local studios and schools.
